The e-FIRE 8BA distributor comes with the drive gear ready-fitted and simple two wire hook-up. Unlike the stock Ford 8BA Loadomatic distributor; the new e-FIRE has no special (weird) vacuum requirements, so you can swap that old Ford carburetor for Stromberg 97s. The advance rate (and max total advance) are tuned specifically to suit the flathead V8 engine. Just like every other Stromberg e-FIRE distributor, it’s machine tested at the factory and delivered ready to run right out of the box.
NOTE: Must be used with a points style coil only. We recommend the Stromberg 44 1.5 Ohm coil – available to purchase separately. DO NOT use a low-resistance (less than 1.5 Ohms) or HEI-style coil.
