With a top quality, made-in-USA black cap and an old-school performance tag, every e-FIRE distributor looks like it belongs on your traditional flathead motor. It’s also as short as we could make it, which is important if you’re building a hot rod. And electronic ignition means no points, no condenser, no black (or red) box and very little maintenance. Just higher efficiency, economy and accurate spark timing.
With just two wires to a regular coil, it’s quick to install and timing adjustment is super-easy too. Designed just like a stocker with the screw on the side, you don’t have to unbolt it and turn the whole body to change the static timing. The advance rate (and max total advance) is tuned specifically to suit the flathead V8 motor and just like every other Stromberg e-FIRE distributor, it’s machine tested at the factory and delivered ready to run right out of the box.
NOTE: Must be used with a points style coil only. We recommend the Stromberg 44 1.5 Ohm coil – available to purchase separately. DO NOT use a low-resistance (less than 1.5 Ohms) or HEI-style coil.
