On the outside, it’s Genuine 97 all the way. On the inside, it’s the ultimate BIG97 750cfm hot rod Tri-Power. Exclusive to Genuine Stromberg, with improved fuel circuits, ported distributor vacuum and a whole lot more. Add our progressive linkage and classic 3-into-1 fuel lines and you’re looking at old school carburetion with next level performance and drivability. It’s the perfect bolt-on for your small block Chevy, Ford or other overhead valve motor.
  • The BIG97 was developed as a Tri-Power from Day One, with a smooth progressive linkage. Cruise economically on the center Primary, then punch in the two Secondaries when you step on the gas.

  • BIG97 Secondary carbs have no power valve or accelerator pump circuits, but keep chokes, idle and transition circuits for steady idle and good low throttle manners. Dummy Secondary accelerator pumps retain the classic 97 look.
  • Lightly rusted, satin painted cast iron base. Main castings and stainless steel parts lightly media blasted. External brass heat aged.
  • Operation remains key so some parts - choke plate, accelerator pump rod and spring - are untouched, adding an old, reconditioned look.
  • Revised fuel circuits help BIG97s meter a high quality, atomized Air/Fuel mixture for excellent combustion efficiency. With fuel supply tests showing a capability close to 90lbs of fuel/hour and a BSFC (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) of just 0.414 lb of fuel/hr/hp, the BIG97 Tri-power has the potential to support significant horsepower.
  • Ported distributor vacuum on the BIG97 Primary connects to your vacuum advance distributor to improve combustion efficiency in cruising mode. You’ll run smoother and cooler, with more torque and better fuel mileage.
