The e-FIRE 8BA distributor comes with the drive gear ready-fitted and simple two wire hook-up. Unlike the stock Ford 8BA Loadomatic distributor, the new e-FIRE has no special vacuum requirements; so you can swap that old Ford carburetor for a Stromberg 97.
The advance rate (and max total advance) are tuned specifically to suit the flathead V8 engine. Just like every other Stromberg e-FIRE distributor, it’s machine tested at the factory and delivered ready to run right out of the box.
NOTE: Must be used with a points style coil only. We recommend the Stromberg 44 1.5 Ohm coil – available to purchase separately. DO NOT use a low-resistance (less than 1.5 Ohms) or HEI-style coil.
